Buffalo Bills to Support Local Chapter of National Gay Flag Football League
The city of Buffalo is set to become the 28th location to host a chapter of the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), with the Buffalo Bills announcing their financial support for the initiative. This move marks a significant step forward for inclusive flag football in the region.

The NGFFL, which boasts over 4,000 players, aims to unite the community through the spirit of competition while celebrating diversity. The league’s mission is to create an environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or identity.
“We are thrilled to bring inclusive flag football to Buffalo with the support of the Buffalo Bills,” said NGFFL Commissioner Joel Horton. “This exciting addition joins 27 other cities, and over 4,000 players, including straight allies, in the National Gay Flag Football League.”
Several other NFL teams have also backed the NGFFL, including the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Washington Commanders.

The Buffalo Bills’ VP of Community Impact, Michelle Roberts, expressed the franchise’s excitement about joining forces with the NGFFL. “We are looking forward to expanding the impact of the NGFFL in our community,” she said.
The NGFFL has been in operation for over two decades, and the new Buffalo chapter is expected to begin competing soon. Further details about the team will be released at a later date.
