A Desperate Search: Ex-NFL Player’s Son Missing Amid Domestic Battery Investigation

As the sun sets on Indiana, a sense of unease settles over the small town of Logansport. The son of former NFL defensive lineman Daniel Muir, 14-year-old Bryson, has been missing for two weeks, and authorities are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.

Bryson Muir, 14, has been missing since June 16

According to the Indiana State Police, Bryson was last seen leaving a residence with his mother, Kristen, on June 16. However, when Garfield Heights Police in Ohio pulled over Kristen’s vehicle, Bryson was nowhere to be found. The Cass County Sheriff Department and the Cass County Department of Child Services have been working tirelessly to locate the boy, but so far, their efforts have been in vain.

“While the Muirs are beginning to show signs of cooperation, Bryson has still not been seen or located by investigators from either ISP or DCS,” Indiana State Police said in a news release on Thursday.

Bryson is described as a 6-foot-2, 185-pound Black male with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange Under Armour shirt and blue jeans. A photo of Bryson shows him with a swollen right eye, adding to the concern for his well-being.

The devastating effects of domestic violence

As the search for Bryson continues, the community is left to wonder how this could have happened. Domestic battery allegations against Bryson’s mother have raised questions about the safety of the home environment. The fact that Bryson’s father, Daniel Muir, played in the NFL from 2007 to 2013, including stints with the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and Oakland Raiders, only adds to the sense of shock and disbelief.

Daniel Muir’s NFL career spanned six seasons

As a parent, it’s hard to imagine the anguish and fear that Bryson’s family must be feeling. The thought of a 14-year-old boy being in “extreme danger” is a nightmare scenario that no one should have to endure. As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: Bryson needs to be found, and he needs to be found quickly.
