The 2024 NFL Season is Just Around the Corner
The wait is almost over, folks! The 2024 NFL season is just around the corner, and what better way to kick it off than with a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game? The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5, and I couldn’t be more excited.
The stage is set for a thrilling opener
As the reigning Super Bowl champions, it’s no surprise that the Chiefs will be hosting the season opener. But what makes this matchup even more intriguing is the Ravens’ determination to avenge their 17-10 loss in the AFC Championship Game. Lamar Jackson, the reigning MVP, will be looking to lead his team to victory, and I have no doubt he’ll be bringing his A-game.
“Lamar Jackson was essentially forced to foist the Ravens on his back, accounting for 326 yards while his running back depth chart combined for 23 on the ground.”
The Ravens have made some significant changes to their roster this offseason, including the signing of Derrick Henry, which should bolster their running game. And let’s not forget about Zay Flowers, who’s expected to have a breakout season after a impressive rookie year.

On the other side of the ball, the Chiefs have also made some significant changes to their roster. They’ve lost some key players, including cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, but they’ve also made some savvy additions, including wideout Hollywood Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy. These new additions should give Patrick Mahomes the tools he needs to succeed.

As we count down the days until the season opener, I’m excited to see how these two teams will match up. Will the Ravens be able to avenge their loss, or will the Chiefs come out on top once again? One thing’s for sure - it’s going to be a thrilling game.
