Layoffs and Programming Changes
The latest round of layoffs has seen Hall of Fame wide receiver and analyst Michael Irvin let go, along with other unnamed personalities. Irvin had been with the network since 2009 and was a regular fixture on “GameDay Morning” during the season. Despite being taken off the air for a portion of 2023 following an unspecified allegation, Irvin was reinstated after the case was settled.

In addition to the layoffs, “NFL Total Access” is ending its 21-year run. The nightly news show will air its final episode on May 17, with “Insiders” set to fill the void left by the departing program.

The changes are part of a larger effort to revamp NFL Network’s programming, with more announcements expected in the coming weeks.

In April, NFL Network parted ways with four on-air personalities, including Melissa Stark, Andrew Siciliano, James Palmer, and Will Selva. The layoffs were described as “normal course of business” by the network’s vice president of communications.
