NFL Power Rankings: A Tiered Approach
The NFL offseason is in full swing, and with summer practices underway, it’s time to reassess the league’s 32 teams. In this edition of our power rankings, we’re shaking things up by dividing the teams into seven tiers. From the top contenders to the bottom dwellers, let’s dive into our rankings.
The NFL landscape is constantly shifting, but which teams will rise to the top?
Tier 7: Total Rebuilds
The Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos find themselves at the bottom of our rankings. Both teams are in the midst of rebuilding, with young rosters and first-year head coaches. While there’s hope for the future, expectations should be low for the present.
Bryce Young is one of the few bright spots in Carolina.
The Washington Commanders aren’t faring much better. With a limited roster on both sides of the ball, it’s hard to see them making a significant impact this season. Dan Quinn has a lot to prove in his second stint as an NFL head coach.
Tier 6: The Strugglers
The New York Giants are a team in flux. After a surprising 2022 season, they regressed in 2023. Can Daniel Jones bounce back, and will rookie receiver Malik Nabers live up to his pre-draft hype?
Daniel Jones needs to step up his game if the Giants want to compete.
The New England Patriots are another team with more questions than answers. With a suspect offense and a defense that’s still finding its identity, it’s hard to see them making a deep playoff run.
