Randall Cobb’s Nashville Home Damaged in Garage Fire

New York Jets wide receiver Randall Cobb’s Nashville home was damaged in a garage fire on Tuesday, according to the Nashville Fire Department and Cobb’s Instagram account. The fire, which occurred at Cobb’s home on Wallace Lane, resulted in extensive damage to the garage, including burned cars.

Cobb’s garage was left badly damaged after the fire

Upon arrival, firefighters found flames showing from the garage of the home. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, although many of the contents of the garage were damaged. Heavy smoke damage was also reported in some portions of the home, but minimal damage other than that, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

‘First and foremost, we are all safe and healthy,’ Cobb said. ‘We got out of the house and I was able to go back in and get our dog, Louie. We can’t thank Chief Caruthers, Captain Irvin, and the Nashville Fire Department enough for their swift action.’

Cobb posted videos and a photo showing the extent of the damage in the garage, including burned cars. He also shared his gratitude for the bravery of one of the firefighters.

‘I can’t get the image of the brave firefighter getting into position out of my head; he didn’t even have water to shoot yet,’ Cobb said. ‘I truly thought the cars were going to explode and that we would lose him to this tragedy. He is a true hero.’

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported. Cobb, a 13-year veteran in the NFL, played mostly for the Green Bay Packers, with short stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans. He played for the New York Jets during the 2023 season.

‘This has been a reminder that nothing is more important than the health of our family. We are grateful for our incredible community in Nashville, and the support from our close friends that have given us a temporary roof over our heads and shoulders to lean on.’
