“In the blink of an eye, everything can be taken away,” Price wrote. “As a healthy 29-year-old, an unprovoked pulmonary embolism with no further medical explanation is terrifying. I am truly thankful to be alive today.”

Price’s retirement marks the end of a promising career that was filled with promise. The center showed flashes of brilliance as a rookie, starting 10 games for the Bengals in 2018. However, he struggled to find consistency in the following seasons, starting only nine games over the next two years.
