As the Jaguars’ fourth-year starting quarterback, Trevor Lawrence has a lot on his plate. But in a recent podcast, he revealed that he’s feeling great, and that’s music to the ears of Jaguars fans everywhere.

“I feel great, and that’s how it should be,” he said.

Lawrence joined senior writer John Oehser for the 2024 offseason O-Zone podcast, discussing multiple topics, including his ongoing contract negotiations with the team and how injuries affected him late last season.

A Healthy Trevor Lawrence is a Happy Trevor Lawrence

Lawrence also elaborated on why he feels so good as the ‘24 offseason draws to a close. One reason is he’s healthy after leaving four different games with different injuries last season, including three as the Jaguars lost five of their final six regular-season games to miss the postseason.

“There really has been a heightened sense of urgency, just in OTAs,” Lawrence said. “This has been the most intense OTAs I’ve been a part of. You understand what OTAs aren’t. They’re not the prize. The main thing is to win your reps.”

A New Sense of Urgency

Lawrence believes that the intensity of OTAs is crucial in preparing the team for the upcoming season. “That intensity has to start now,” he emphasized. “We’re not just messing around. We’re setting the tone for training camp.”

As the Jaguars near the conclusion of their 2024 Organized Team Activities, Lawrence’s leadership and positive attitude are exactly what the team needs. With a healthy quarterback and a renewed sense of urgency, the Jaguars are poised for a successful season.
