Tyreek Hill Weighs in on the NFL’s Top Quarterbacks

Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa, Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Baker Mayfield - these are the quarterbacks that Miami Dolphins’ superstar receiver Tyreek Hill believes are the best entering the 2024 NFL season. Hill, who has made a name for himself as one of the fastest players in the league, recently took to social media to share his top five picks, and a couple of big-time names were noticeably missing from his list.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback is always a top contender

Hill’s teammate and Pro Bowl QB Tua Tagovailoa made the list, which isn’t surprising given Hill’s impressive stats with Tagovailoa in his career with Miami. The two have combined for 213 catches for 3,207 yards and 21 touchdowns in 29 games. Tagovailoa boasts a passer rating of 102.3 with 7,948 yards and 53 touchdowns over that same span with Hill.

Colin Cowherd shared his opinions on Hill’s list on a recent edition of ‘The Herd,’ agreeing with two of Hill’s five picks, while acknowledging a couple of the biggest snubs: the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow and the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen.

Burrow only appeared in 10 games last season due to injury, finishing the season with 2,309 yards and 15 passing touchdowns. Allen’s 4,306 passing yards were the fourth-most last season, and he finished tied for the fifth-most passing touchdowns (29) after appearing in all 17 regular-season games.

That said, here’s a look at where Hills’ five picks stack up against Burrow and Allen.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs’ 2023 record: 11-6 (won Super Bowl) Mahomes’ 2023 stats: 4,183 passing yards (6th in the NFL), 27 passing touchdowns (8th), 389 rushing yards (11th among all QBs), 16 regular-season games played

In other NFL news, former Baltimore Ravens’ Jacoby Jones, who won Super Bowl XLVII with the team, has passed away at 40. The NFL community is in mourning, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

A moment of silence for Jacoby Jones

The Bengals’ franchise-tagged WR Tee Higgins won’t have a long-term deal in place by the July 15 deadline, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday, per a source. Higgins will play on the tag in 2024, as expected.

The NFL season is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see how these quarterbacks and their teams stack up against each other. Stay tuned for more updates and analysis.
